Eastern Imperial Eagle Conservation Action Plan for Georgia

The conservation action plan for the Eastern Imperial Eagle in Georgia was developed by the Society for Nature Conservation (SABUKO) based on the results of surveys initiated in 2015 and ongoing to date. Based on these, threats affecting the local population were determined, as well as specific areas for conservation – challenges, and actions necessary to improve the conservation status of the local population. In order to attain a favourable conservation status for the species until 2050, specific conservation measures, tasks, and actions were identified based on our knowledge and known risks to the population. These measures were to be put into effect until 2034. Thus, the conservation plan for the imperial eagle will help Georgia fulfil its obligations under the Association Agreement.
